The book of Genesis in the Bible says we are created male and female in the image of God. As God is Spirit, so we have a spiritual dimension that defies a complete understanding or explanation, yet we experience that aspect of ourselves every day. It is so much a part of us that we cannot truly distance ourselves from it.
God's Word, collected in the Bible, begins and ends with God creating something new. And right in the middle of it, between Old and New Testaments, is the newest thing of all: God entering His own creation as a God-man whose life, death, and resurrection to eternal life made it possible for us to become completely new creations ourselves.
This page's title, "INSPIRATION," suggests that we can be inspired: filled with breath, with life, with new thought, understanding, feeling, and being. Our spiritual nature can grow, much as our mental, emotional, volitional, conceptual, and physical dimensions grow. We can receive new things and make something new. The very essence of growth is to make something new.
Christ transforms us. We gradually become more and more like him. As we do so we align our spirits more and more with God's. He inspires us, both directly, through His Word, and through others. May the thoughts here inspire you, bringing you hope, comfort, and growth. With new insights, may you inspire others.
I heard this on the radio:
Little girl, you said you were saved. Do you still sin?
Yes, sometimes.
Then what's the difference?
I used to run toward sin, but now I run from it.
